Professions in the World of Pria
Professions
In the world of Pria, your job is quite literally what you do to
survive. It determines your skills and abilities that you possess to
enable you to earn money as well as to go out and about adventuring.
To make this choice you should read through all of the possible
professions unless you already have your heart set on one. If you
don’t, go through them and consider what you want to accomplish with
this particular character. Be sure to include the race you plan to
be in your deliberations as it can be extremely influencial.
While any race can be any profession on the world of Pria, quite
naturally some races will have an inherent bonus in learning those
skills and abilities, while some races just may never be capable of
learning that skill to its fullest potential. Once you are certain,
reread the section on the professions as it will tell you what skills
you possess immediately as well as what equipment you begin the game
with.
All players start at the novice level with their chosen skills. You
may take a second profession to double specialize as it were, but you
may not do so until you reach the journeyman level in your first
profession, then you may choose the second profession at novice level.
You can then either go back to increasing your first profession, or
work on this new one.
Advancing through the ranks of your profession is done in steps from
the novice level, to apprenticeship, to journeyman, till your reach
the level of master.
In the links below, you will find everything you need to know about
theprofessions you may choose from on this world. These include the
traditional fighter, healer, mage, thief, but to this mix we have
also added bard and knights both the good guys and the bad ones.
Check them all out before you make your choice.
Each profession clearly has its advantages and its built in disadvantages.
If you want to go adventuring immediately you willl probably wish to
check out the fighters or knights. If you prefer the town to adventures
initially, try out the bard. Healers and mages, while fairly weak at
first, are definite pluses in an adventure, but you don’t have to go.
You could choose to stay behind and work on your skills. Thieves are
also adventurers, but their fighting abilities aren’t that terrific at
first so don’t lead the charge at that giant demon, but look for a
chance to slit its throat quietely.
Whatever you do choose, remember....choose wisely......
