Lord Vrae
Lord Vrae, God of the Lie and Deception, Scrouge God
When Satyr created the world of Pria he was well aware of the need
for balance in all things. He knew that you could never have only
good without evil. If you created such a place, the people would
never know what was truly good. They would become so use to
the good that everything else would be common place.
The concept of paradise would lose its meaning in such a world. So,
much to his own regret, Satyr was forced to create some evil in his
world.
By this time, humans, elves, and drawves were flourishing on Pria,
and so Satyr scoured the world in search of any seeds of evil. He
happened to come across one little boy who it seemed could not tell
the truth. If someone asked him if the sky was blue, he would
carefully look up, search the sky, and then boldly say, "No, the sky
is orange." It was as if the truth was physically painful to him.
Satyr, who lives beyond the normal time of Pria waited and watched
this little child. When he entered adulthood, he still could not tell
the truth, and he was also very good at disguising anything and
everything. Satyr was certain he had his first candidate for his
balance.
He took that young man, Vrae, by name, and brought him to godhood to
sit at the opposite side from the Righteous. Vrae, who fancied himself
now more than ever took to calling himself, Lord Vrae. He has many
temples to himself, each more ornate than the last. And at every
temple you will find an entirely different physical image of Lord
Vrae. After all, the lord of lies could never let you see his real
face, now could he?
